…the HAPPIEST kid, ever. Seriously, the cheesy smiles were bountiful!! He knew how to work his audience, 6 adults dancing on the side of the a busy Phoenix road had to a sight to see I have so many great images from this session, can’t wait for mom, dad and loving grandparents to see them all! Robots, cake, red wagon + a cool wall made for great background but honestly, this guy would shine anywhere we put him! For now, just a few of this sweet 1 year old. Happy Birthday little guy and glad you enjoyed every single bite of your delish cake!

Oh man, this blog is getting dusty! I’m so very behind on sneak peaks of my photography sessions but still been busy working, sorry for the neglect! I promised this little one-year old’s momma a small sneak of her ADORABLE red head. The classic red wagon + pop of green background + perfectly content little guy made for a fun morning session in Scottsdale. I first met this sweet gal a full 18 months ago and this marks our 6th session. I have loved every minute of capturing her milestones from newborn on. The one thing that’s stayed pretty constant is her sweet demeanor and this session was no different. She opened up our session with smiles and came to life during a rousing game of peek-a-boo, we were off to a great start! A carousel ’ride’, giggles, and swings made for the perfect opportunity for her sweet smiles to shine through. Thank you C family for allowing me to capture your sweet girls infectious love of life!

Last week marked M’s first haircut. His curls got my heart, more than most can ever understand. Cutting them left me with a few tears but it was that or a mullet. For his sake, I had to go with the cut, something I’m sure he’ll appreciate someday, at least until the mullet is back in style

Fresh and new. Loved. Perfect. There is no question that this little gal has won the heart of her parents already and I have no trouble seeing why, she’s perfect in every way possible. And the cheeks, have I mentioned I have a serious LOVE of squishy newborn cheeks? I could nibble and kiss them all the day long! I miss the sweet baby cheeks on my kids but the great thing is they turn into loving, squishy toddler cheeks! Baby P had cheeks that were just as perfect as she is, and I may have snuck a little smooshie cheek nibble in Congrats M family on your newest addition!

The sweet cheeks on this little guy just BEGGED to be nibbled! I have to admit when I snuggled with him for a minute I contemplated it. Between the cheeks, eyelashes and absolute perfect personality, this little 6 monther made my job even better.

Fresh. Sleepy. Loved. This little guy was 14 days old, and in terms of newborns, he’s on the older side. He gave mom + dad a hard time before our session but by the time I got my hands on him he was putty. Lovely, squishy, bendy putty. He posed like a champ, slept on cue and even got a few sweet kisses by his fun and lively older brother. As a mon, I know that it’s an amazing blessing watching your first child become a “big” brother or sister. It brings out the most amazing feeling of deep love watching that new connection, never to be topped! Welcome to the world baby J, welcome to the world.

I can’t get enough of newborn parts! Ears, lips, and toes, so small and delicate!

I know it’s been quiet around here, between business and family I’ve had to leave blogging on the back burner. I have 18 sessions that need blogged, all have long been seen by the families and portraits are hanging on the walls. Someday I’ll get through it all but for now, just one of an adorable little man!

And a few more from the rest of our fun morning session and then cake smash! How can you beat watching a 1 year old smoosh up a cake and enjoy every minute of it? Oh yeah, have his big brother there cheering him on! Go little guy, it’s your birthday!

This post was supposed to be of my sweet little man turning ONE today, I cannot believe how fast time has gone! I’ll have to save his post for after I actually take his 1-year pictures, hopefully soon Busy busy around here and a quiet blog usually means I’m busy spending my nights editing. It’s Wednesday, you know what that means! Another edition of Wall Art Wednesday, fun fun fun! This week is a bit less structured which works well for a lot of my clients homes. My design style is on the fence between structured and a bit loose, we’ll just call it semi-structured. I’ve come to realize that with 2 kids in the house there’s less structure to our home (thanks to the explosion of books, crafts, and toys) and I need a bit of structure on our walls to counterbalance the craziness that comes with kids Someday I’m going to take some rockin’ pictures of our wall art to use for this weekly post but for now, here is a bit more inspiration.

I’m a serious sucker for incorporating the kids art work onto the walls. Letting them see their work in a frame allows them a sense of worth to their art which is so important! Use something fun and less “matchy” like this in a kids area, play room or even eat-in kitchen like this one shows. Did I mention how I love the frames that all come together perfectly but nowhere near match?

These curls make me melt. Love this boy.

She looks way to old for my liking. Everyday she does or says something that makes us laugh hysterically, I LOVE that she can make us laugh over the smallest of nothings. The joy of being a kid resonants loud and clear with everything she does in life, I’m blessed that she calls me “mommy.”

This sweet daughter set up a photo shoot almost a year ago for her mom (& I’m sure dad too!). Full family portraits get harder and harder as children are added and it’s so important to capture at least a few moments throughout the year. I first met this gal just under a year ago and to this day still get compliments on her beauty. Her mom and dad are probably the easiest people to work with and it shines through. We tried for a cake smash but this little cutie wasn’t so sure of the sweet stuff, that’s for sure! Despite our best attempts at encouraging, she just wasn’t into it! Either way, she’s gorgeous and I enjoyed figured out what made her smile
