These sweet siblings are my nieces and nephews and getting to spend time with them searching for fairies in the tall grass was the highlight of my Saturday night! No doubt we found a few bugs in the grass but I think I did my job convincing them there were fairies there as well. The little guy was not feeling well but tried to be a good sport and we made it work despite everything else going on. I love this location for it’s earthy vibe, something about it just makes me want to bring a picnic blanket and book and stay for a few hours. Thanks for trusting my choice of location, B family, glad we had the same vision!! Here are a few from our evening of fun

I first meet B when she was 6 weeks old and then again when she turned one. Can I just tell you what a personality this gal has? I haven’t laughed quite so hard at a client in a long time. B’s momma calls her a “diva” and I can’t argue…she knows what she wants, she will get it and she will make sure you know all about it! Her facial expressions were priceless, when life settles down someday I want to do a post on the 10 different faces she made in 10 consecutive frames of shooting. What a sassy little 2 year old, love it! Enjoy your sneak, W family!

Sneak peak from baby T’s 1 year session! I cannot believe that I first met her gorgeous family over a year ago for her momma’s maternity session. I’ve been blessed to watch her grow from an adorable, perfect newborn to a gorgeous toddler. And the hair, oh my, the hair!!! To die for!

Meet the newest addition to our family! Max was born 2 weeks early on 3/8/10, weighing 9lbs 8.5 oz and 20.5″ long and literally just perfect! After almost 2 weeks in the hospital we’re finally hone doing really well. Here he is!

Lily is quite smitten with Max’s toes, I love this picture for that reason.

This little man had a rough few weeks but lucky for us, decided to take a break from the fussiness for his portrait debut. I hope it continues for his parents! 7 weeks is a bit older than my typical newborn, but this little man did great. Some special family blankets made for great memories that I know they’ll cherish. Another adorable family!! Their love for their son was so evident in the natural smiles, giggles, and laughs. This little man turned 1 last month and was a pro at both walking & falling. He was quite intent on pointing to every tree in the area, and there were a lot. Made for a fun afternoon!

I love, love, love dad’s face here! Such joy over watching his child explore. Pictures like this make me thankful for my awesome job!

If it’s not obviously, I’m totally LOVING the urban options in the city. And the fact that there are trains in the area, *Heaven* for so many little dudes! I had the pleasure of meeting this adorable family when they were in Phoenix visiting family members. Mom is a photographer and we hooked up for a fun family trade session. Little D suffered from a case of PCS without a doubt….Photographers Child Syndrome….which is well known around this house as well! Despite that we had some fun and captured a few smiles in the process.

My experience for sure lies in smaller family, children and newborns but when my friend asked me to do her extended family pictures, there was no turning her down!
